UutisetVisiting Jakobstad 23.-25.7.201022.08.2010 I visited Jakobstad, small Swedish-speaking old and beautiful town at the seasohore of Finnish Ostrobothnia to write a shot travel scketch aticle about the "Swedishness" in Jakobstad. I´ve visited Jakobstad since late 90´s and for me it´s the most fascinating place in Finland with wooden houses from the 18th century (Skata), a long pedestrian street (Gågatan), huge summer market (Jakobs Dagar), the only arctic museum in finland (Nanoq), overcoureded terraces (Vive´s!), outdoor gigs and Fäboda, one of tne most beautiful seashore places I´ve seen. |
